Where Should I Place My Container?

Place your trash container curbside and away from obstructions like streetlights, cars, trees, electrical poles, etc. Leave 3 feet between containers and check that handles face towards your home.

Do You Provide Bulk Pickup?

For our current residential customers, Charlie’s Rubbish Removal offers a bulky item pick up service. This is for items that are not part of regular household waste collection like mattresses, TV’s, computers, bed frames, couches, yard waste, and appliances. Will My Pickup Schedule Change During Holidays?

In the event that your trash is scheduled to be picked up on a holiday, your garbage will be picked up the following day. For example - Friday pickup will be done on Saturday for Thanksgiving week. Residential trash collection may be delayed due to these and other holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. View holiday schedule >>

Can I Put My Christmas Tree In The Trash?

Yes, you can put your Christmas tree in the trash, but additional charges will be applied for the bulky item pickup. Call customer service for more details 401-294-2969

What Can Someone NOT Throw In The Trash?

Most household waste items can be put in the trash with the following exceptions:

  • Acids
  • Appliances like microwaves
  • Concrete or rock
  • Hazardous waste like gasoline, motor oil, insecticides & chemicals, products containing mercury, vehicle batteries
  • Medical waste
  • Propane tanks
  • Wet paint cans, stains or sealants (lid must be open and contents dry)

These things can be put in the trash, but an extra charge for disposal will be applied:

  • Appliances that contain CFCs / Freon (call for pickup)
  • Mattresses
  • Tires
  • TVs, computer monitors
